Apple has just announced the new iPad Mini. This is the smaller, lighter version of the iPad 1, 2, and 3. This is obviously Apple's answer to the demand for a smaller, lighter tablet. The iPad Mini is a thin as a pencil and as light as an A4 size pad of paper. So yes it is incredibly light.

The iPad mini selling price starts at $329.
Prices for Wi-Fi-only versions:
$329 for 16GB
$429 for 32GB
$529 for 64GB.
Prices for the cellular versions, prices are
$459 for 16 GB
$559 for 32 GB
$659 for 64GB
iPad Mini Pre-orders begins on Oct. 26. Wi-Fi capable iPad Mini will ship on Nov. 2, and
the cellular models will be out 2 weeks later.
